The practice of architecture has opened my eyes to a world of possibilities. I see every challenge as an opportunity for invention and innovation. I learn best by doing and this is why I love design/build projects. Every project is a new chance to learn and refine my skills as a design and craftswomen. Design has provided me with many life changing opportunities. I have built and designed straw bale homes on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation and in rural Kenya. I have engaged in design/build projects in Namibia, Swaziland, and New York City. These experiences have taught me the power of design in changing lives. The pride and satisfaction I get from helping underserved communities is what I live to do. I know that design has the potential to change humanity, and I want to be a part of that journey. .
